Meet the Champions of 2024

  • Arianne Murray: The Tyrant's Daughter

Arianne is a mutant known as a Fera in her universe. Feras naturally have enhanced strength, speed, healing, and senses. Arianne, having two distinct mutations (wings for slight and sharkline-gills) has increased abilities compared to a baseline Fera. She is highly trained in military strategy and combat and fights with eagerness and passion. This female takes no shit and is the last person you want to see pissed off and across the ring. She has a track record of being backed against the wall and still being the last one standing.

  • Vila Geran: Corrupted Tides

Vila does this every day. She is a regular in the fighting pits of the Lower Planks, where she constantly fights to the death and takes out much bigger opponents than her. She takes the beating, and hits back hard, learning her opponent's moves and finding the place to strike. With her blessed glass infusion, she now has increased speed, strength, and denser muscle/bones. Her strength is weathering hits, learning moves, and barreling through until the other guy is dead: her weakness is impulsiveness. She engages and times the hits instead of acting defensively.

  • Garren Roseheart: Shadow Dance

Garren uses the Light, a holy type of magic. He’s a paladin and believes in the Light as a part of his religion, which also empowers him. He’s a seasoned fighter in his realm. He has a great deal of physical strength. When he uses his holy powers and channels them into his sword (and makes it glow), he uses a part of his life force to empower the Light within him. If he pushes himself too hard and uses too much of his life force, it would be fatal, so he must balance his magic with his physical strength.

  • Molly Dunken: They Found Us

Molly spent 3 weeks in the Alaskan wilderness being hunted by killers. She used her quick-thinking ability to keep herself alive and by the end thrived in the wild

Her skills include making traps, quick thinking, outdoor survival skills, and first ade knowledge. She's also a fast runner. (think of Fox Face from the Hunger Games kinda person) brains over brawn.

  • Cait: Tales of Howloween Anthology

BAD. ASS. Cait is a 1000+ year-old wolf spirit of nature. As such she has superhuman strength, speed, stamina, fast healing, and senses. She can partially and totally transform into a wolf. With such extreme senses, she's sensitive to strong smells or certain sounds. Cait is never one to back down from a challenge, and she's as scrappy as they come. Once the Alpha of the Kiba Pack, she knows what it means to fight for supremacy. Grumpy and Sarcastic, she takes no crap from anyone or anything in the futuristic city her home of Iden has become over the centuries.

She may only have her claws, fists, and rough-as-nails attitude to see her through, but watch and see how far she'll go!

  • Anna Scarrow: Save Our King

She has magic that she really has no control of, such as failing to light a candle on command or raising hundreds of decent sized rocks in the air at once. Her weaknesses are self-doubt and lack of fighting experience. Her strengths would be loyalty and bravery. She would be the last one standing because she would ultimately fight her opponent’s weaknesses and use that to her advantage.

  • Valine Polaris: Throne of Anguish

She has Ice Magic (it can run out though). Along with magic, she’s skilled in archery, daggers, and swords. Stubborn and independent (which inherently are both strengths and weaknesses) is too honorable to hurt innocents. Her combination of magic, weaponry training, unwillingness to give up and flexible thinking will make her the winner.

  • Tomas Greenleaf: Frostbitten

Tomas Greenleaf is a kaviak, a highly trained soldier (think fantasy special forces) with extensive training in tactics, hand-to-hand combat, weaponry, and survival. He’s equipped with an aquasteel spear, a Liquid Metal weapon that emerges from a bracer to form a lightweight, impossibly sharp, and nearly indestructible spear seven feet in length. Within twenty feet, he’s lethal, and he’s survived brutal tundras and horrifying monsters. But he has no magic powers or unnatural abilities.

  • Chol Sul: Corrosion

Chol Sul is a bit hotheaded, and can manipulate “kor energy,” the type of living energy that flows through the rocks and plant life of his world, making for the manipulation of how plants grow/shape (and sometimes explode) and the ability to terraform. If loose, the kor is harder to control, and far more lethal to his enemies. His ability to control his powers goes haywire when he is full of rage or fear. He would enter the arena if his family was at stake, and he would be the last one standing due to the explosive nature of his not-quite-tamed powers.

  • Rosalie: Kingdom of Ash and Shadow

Rosalie has waterbending abilities, and with that some healing abilities (can use her energy to heal herself or others, but not regenerative healing abilities - she has to be conscious and focus to do it) She also has dark shadow magic due to her bond with her dragon.

  • Samantha Havardson: The Apex Cycle

Samantha is a normal human in a world of superheroes, but after the villain snaps her neck, she discovers she can’t die. She also has had hand-to-hand combat skills downloaded into her head and is skilled with a sword (she fights with a single-grip blade)

  • Brody Rodriguez: Tommorrw Lives Today

He’s a 24-year-old retired pro skateboarder from the present day, chilling in the San Francisco Bay Area, spending most of his day trying to find the perfect sweet Boba Tea to go with his Super Burrito. His anxiety level is only matched by his lack of any purpose, and he doesn’t own a car…or pants.

BUT he has the heart of a sleeping lion and will risk his life to save his teenage granddaughter, who traveled 50 years from the future to help him stop an AI War before it starts!

  • Torin of House Spessia: The Song of Thyssia

Torin is a naval captain so he is a better fighter at sea (boarding etc.). He boasts climbing, kidnapping, stealth, endurance skills as well.

  • Lady Rose: The Guardian's Oath

Lady Rose is a half demon half fae princess with no previous knowledge of her powers. Though she commands all elements , think the last Airbender, she prefers fire and lightning as her go to powers. Her weakness is her independence and determination to protect everyone while risking herself. She only has so much energy before she loses strength.

  • Captain Peter Blair: Paragon Exordium

Peter Blair was raised in a 5th generation military home. His father grandfather was a general who founded a private military company called the Silent Night Warriors or SNW for short. Peter's father was an officer and his mother a professor of military history.

Peter grew up training with a sword as a hobby and one multiple sword fighting competitions over the years. Prior to The Shattering (the magical spell that brought magic to our world), he'd served in the US military for several years as a Ranger before joining SNW as an officer. In Paragon Exordium he is faced with a magical apocalypse and new magic powers.

  • Hemera Nyx: The Adventures of Hemera Nyx

Hemera basically lives in a (retro)futuristic spacesuit that has: life support, an exo-frame that gives her extra strength, and nimble rocket boots. She also has a very powerful beam-cutter/extendable prybar that she uses as a weapon (called a RAMA), as well as a decorative knife strapped to her leg. Finally, a mysterious alien technology called a PLOT device powers it all.

Hemera is a Space Adventurer. She's right at home in life-or-death fights, quickly adapts to strange alien planets and situations. The PLOT device lets her communicate with any alien species, along with basically anything else I need it to do in the story.

Her weaknesses: In terms of technology, she can run out of power, plus her helmet and life support are weak spots. Her personality is her primary weakness, as she is very impulsive and not the smartest. Her rage can sometimes overpower her. She's also prone to fits of depression and can have traumatic flashbacks.

  • Luci: Hunting a Queen

She’s a detective, she’s worked in plenty of rough areas in rural Australia and knows how to handle herself.

  • Elden Cavanaugh: The Fey Hotel

Unseelie Prince of the Winterlands, winter/elemental magic, wields an axe, guards a feyrie portal. Weaknesses: moral alignment is good, fire magic.

  • Charlie: Monstra Inter

To those who don’t know Charlie, they see nothing but a grumpy, 67-year-old widowed farmer woman. But a lifetime of hauling hay bales, herding cows, and hunting her own food has left her more than capable of taking care of herself. She might not talk much, but she’s witty and resourceful. She’s adept at creating traps, calm under pressure, and good with a gun.

Even though she’s stronger and more clever than she might look, she can’t move as fast as she used to. She also doesn’t have magic or any highfalutin technology.

Charlie’s just a tough country gal who ain’t afraid of nothin’.

  • Kasha: Captured by Chaos

Kasha is a Varg Anwyn (wolf shifter) soldier in her country’s specialized military force known as the Onyx Guard. Consisting of only Varg Anwyn wolf shifters and Shrivika Vampires, these specialized, elite soldiers undergo a genetic modification when they join, making them into a new hybrid species known as the Ibridowyn. Doing this increases the soldier’s strength, agility, stamina and endurance. their ability to be killed is almost non-exist, only one weapon created to kill an Ibridowyn, known as the Ogdala Dagger. Kasha has been in this specialized unit for 10 years and is now the Beta (second in command) of the wolf pack of her unit.

Kasha’s strength lie in her hand to hand combat and specialized weapon training with the Amalgam Blade. However, she is also very calculating and studies her opponent's weaknesses and strengths to devise the best plan of attack during any battle.

As for weaknesses, due to the genetic modification process she went through to become an Ibridowyn soldier, she now shares traits with the Shrivika vampires. This means she now has to rely on drinking blood and if she goes too long without it, her strength and agility rapidly decreases, making her an easy target to over-power. Also, as a wolf shifter, she is much more volatile close to a full moon making her reckless in a fight. She will sometimes rely too heavily on her heightened senses and abilities, so if attackers are able to cut one of those off, it can throw her off in a fight.

  • Serafina: The Bride of Lycaster

She’s a liar, manipulator, and a sorceress. She’ll slither her way out of any obstacle, but if she’s backed into a corner? She’ll incinerate the walls.

  • Erebus: Tears of Astoria

Erebus is the God of Shadows and Trickery. He has Loki meets Hades vibes and may or may not be the villain in Tears of Astoria. He really couldn't care less about anyone EXCEPT his beloved Astoria. Everyone else can eat dirt as far as he's concerned. Especially mortals. To him they are little more than cattle. His power includes illusion and control of shadows. Important side note, in this world the "shadows" to them are what souls are to us, when someone dies they leave behind their shadow. So basically, he talks to ghosts and they're his minions...but better.

His weakness and his strength are one on the same---his love for Astoria. Where he is usually level headed and patient, anything that involves his wife clouds his judgement and he acts first thinks later. It may get him into trouble. But it's also the reason he'd be the last man standing.

  • Collette Gaillane: The Fractured City

Collette is the young queen of Coralia, she is a kind, intelligent ruler l, good strategist and is extremely strong. Practically raised by the palace guards than her father, Collette's sensibilities and foul language contradicts her soft features. While she is good at hiding her emotions, Collette feels things very strongly and will often put herself in harms way to save another. She would enter the arena to save another, fight for the rights of others, and she would win because she refuses to give up. It also helps that she can heal herself from almost any injury or illness. She also has this short grumpy blond elf that will randomly appear to help her out of a situation that's gotten to be a bit much.

  • Milla Probuditna: Ritual Income

A witch trained in spells, potions, rituals, and "hand-to-hex" casting - the in world combat style of flinging hexes at the enemy. Her powers are in necromancy, and she wields the magic of life and death. Stubborn to a fault, her mastery of her Magick gives her a bit of an ego, and she tends to use too much and burn out...but not before taking her enemies down with her. The effect of overusing her Magick is cellular death, leading to inebriation, dizziness, hazy vision, and a wicked hangover. Trained by witches far cleverer than her, she often packs magical and cursed items when going to face trouble, using them to get a leg up on the competition.

  • Altair: All is Quiet in the Cosmos

He is cursed that whoever hears his voice falls deeply under his trance and he is forced to kill them with a magical dagger. He is an alien race based on sirens of legend. He would be the last one standing as long as there are no deaf characters because he can completely captivate anyone who hears him with just one word.

  • Fabian Waters: Menace

Fabian Waters has an ability to create bursts of energy that can cause fires, break walls, blow anything up. He would enter the arena to avenge his brother Zack Waters, who was tragically kidnapped by The Controlling Hands. He would be the last one standing because everyone else would be dead, since his love for his little brother is unbreakable.

  • Shadow Athell: Shadow Rising

She is an assassin who is sworn to protect the crown prince of Corriander. She’s also the heir to the Shadow court of faerie and one of the most powerful beings alive. She has honor and skill and would eliminate any threat that comes her way. If she were to enter an arena with other characters, like what happens in the book, she would incapacitate but not kill them, because they’re all stuck in the same situation. Even though she’s an assassin she doesn’t condone needless death.

  • Roman Knight: Horizon

Roman is one of the last humans in the galaxy, and is the leader of a group of abandoned children who were the offspring of an ill fayed mission to find a new home for mankind 150 years previously. He has the body of Roman Reigns and the attitude of Lucifer (TV show). His mind is possessed by a telepathic race and he forces his crew to travel to an area known as the EXPANSE where a hungry group of ravenous aliens resides in the darkness. Roman possesses exceptional energy weapons training and is a deft hand with a blade, the larger the better. At one point he is injured but uses his attackers blood to heal himself and keeps the rest to heal later.

  • Jack Trevors: Magi of Danu

Jack wields fire, water and basic illusion magic. He can change the color of his fire spells at will and can create fogs to obscure his movements. His ultimate move is a burst of flames that rises up from below his opponent like an uppercut. He is reckless and rushes in too quickly in most fights, he develops strategies to win as the fight goes on.

  • Vakandi Foreldri: The Sunset Sovereign

He is a fire dragon (4 legs plus wings to fly) that is the size of a palace. He has a spiked tail to use as a weapon and strong powerful claws and teeth - but he rather burn his prey than eat them. He has vast knowledge about magic and levitation to stir a soup pot. Weakness, his pride and he isn't that rich. He has an old back injury where he is exposed and can be injured. If not near his healing potions, can be hurt. Vakandi loves humans and shares soup with them.

  • Meep: The Masks We Wear

Meep is 18, she is secretly part Mau (AKA Lynx) she has enhanced agility and cannot miss. Her cover is a gymnist bit refuses to compete because she presents an "unfair advantage" over normal humans. She doesn't know the ins and outs of fighting yet, but you can't take her down if you can't hit her. Her best defensive tactics are her dodges and her morally gray attitude whwn it comes to hurting others.

  • Hemlocke Shaw: Origin

While Hemlocke may not have special combat training, he should still be considered a force to be reckoned with. As a Cygnan, his genetically altered DNA allows him to harvest energy from mechanical sources and convert it into organic matter. Simply put, if he has access to a battery, he becomes the grumpiest grass-type pokemon inexplord space. With his brilliant engineering intellect and attitude that keeping his body in peak conditions not an option, Hemlock can and will fight to the top and get this over with as quickly as possible.
